BAM Woodworks

BAM Woodworks (Brad, Alex, Monica) is a family run business that started in Vancouver and is now based on Salt Spring Island, BC. Brad is an artisan and makes a line of handmade pieces made from locally reclaimed, domestic and exotic woods. We find our reclaimed wood on walks in the forests in and around Vancouver and on Salt Spring Island.  We also collect fallen Arbutus branches from the Gulf Islands, in particular Galiano Island.

We can be found at the Salt Spring Island Saturday Market every week. Come out and visit.

We also sell some of our products at:

Waterfront Gallery - Salt Spring Island, BC

Favourite Gifts - North Vancouver, BC

Arts off Main - Vancouver, BC

My history

Hi, my name is Brad Forster and I operate BAM Woodworks.

I trained at B.C.I.T. in their Joinery program. After working for a few years, I couldn't secure an apprenticeship, and needing a full-time job I ended up driving a truck for 23 years.

14 years ago I injured myself and had to give it up. The silver lining is, I got back to doing what I love to do.

Working with wood and creating beautiful pieces brings me a lot of pleasure.

I hope you enjoy browsing our website for examples of what I do. I am always open to your ideas and have done many projects based on a clients vision.  Custom orders welcomed!
